Youth of the Month April 2008The Youth of the Month for April 2008 is Ellie Middleton of Molong.
Ellie has recently completed a traineeship at the Molong Pre School gaining a Certificate III in Children's Services. She has also made many Scholastic achievements and is an active member of the community. Ellie has a story to tell that will inspire many. Community Involvement * Certificate of appreciation for participating in the Molong Music and Arts Festival * Member of CANTEEN and has helped with a number of their fundraising events Scholastic Achievements * School Captain in 2006 * Gained awards in Photography, video & Digital Imaging * Gained first in class for Visual Arts * Recieved the Ruben F Scarf Award in 2004 * Gained a Certificate III in Children's Services while completing a traineeship at the Molong Pre School last year Leadership Skills and Abilities * Senior First Aid Certificate * Public Speaking - being School Captain and having to chair assemblies and other School events has giver her the confidence she needs in order to address people comfortably Ellie featured in the book 'Reinventing the Bush' which told the story of Ellie living with illness. This illustrated that Ellie is just a happy go lucky country girl who enjoys the simple things in life and is very grateful for the support that her friends and family have given her. She is a self motivated, caring and respectable girl and the achievements that Ellie has made reflect her positive attitude. Contact details |
