Youth of the Month May 2008

The Youth of the Month for May is Michelle Reynolds of Manildra.

Michelle is a student at Orange Christian School has made many Scholastic, Sporting and Community achievements, demonstrating great initiative and leadership skills.  

Scholastic Achievements

• School Captain 2008
• Member of SRC
• Received an excellence award for English, Agriculture & Food Technology
• Represented her School in Public Speaking

Sporting Achievements

• Junior Girl Champion and runner up in Athletics & Swimming
• Represented her School in Netball & Swimming
• Member of the St Josephs and Manildra combined Netball teams as well as the Orange Christian School team, Orange Christian School winning and being finalists on many occasions

Community Involvement

• Actively involved in the Manildra "Gem of a Weekend" and 100^th Show
• Involved in the food preparation and waitressed for the Daroo awards night
• Assists with the Australia Day events at the pool
• Assists in maintaining the entry garden to town
• Participates in Clean up Australia Day
• Attends the Anzac Day Services every year

Michelle has MC'd many school events such as the 2007 Graduation evening, presentation evening and assemblies and she also mentored two young students for a term which she found very rewarding.

Michelle has a very positive attitude and strives for her best at all times, her achievements to date reflect this.
