Time running out to comment on Stronger Country Communities Fund projects

Cabonne Council is seeking public comment by 5pm today (Tuesday 10 October 2017) on projects prioritised for funding under the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund.

New infrastructure and enhancements to existing facilities are being earmarked under the program over the next two years to make NSW Local Government Areas attractive places to live and work.

At its Ordinary Meeting on 26 September 2017, Cabonne Council prioritised the following projects for funding under the first round of the program:

  • Expansion of Molong Early Learning Centre to Double the Number of Placements. Total cost: $450,000. Funding sought: $276,000.
  • Expansion of Cudal Community Children's Centre to Increase Placements. Total cost: $450,000. Funding sought: $295,000.
  • Cabonne Council Construction of Shared Mobility Access Pathway to Mullion Creek School. Total cost $105,000. Funding sought: $105,000.

Cabonne Council will also submit an application to fund construction of a Shared Mobility Access Pathway at Manildra which has been designated in the Cabonne Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP). Total cost: $90,500. Funding sought: $90,500. This project has been the subject of public consultation through the PAMP process.
