Road Conditions

Pinnacle Road, on the Pinnacle side of Mt Canobolas Road to Walker Lane, will be reopened during the Easter period.

This section will be a gravel road until sealing is completed after the holiday period. A 40kmh speed limit will be in place and drivers are asked to drive to the conditions.

Motorists are advised Paytens Bridge across the Lachlan River on Paytens Bridge Road, west of Eugowra, has reopened today Thursday 13 April 2017 at 10:30 am to all traffic and pedestrians with a speed restriction of ten kilometres/hour and width restriction of 3.1 metres.

Motorists are advised to keep to the posted speed limits and to take care when passing on the bridge due to the reduced lane width.

Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience and understanding and will continue to update the community regarding the permanent strengthening works for the bridge.

Motorists can expect to face some delays while roadworks are undertaken on The Escort Way west of Orange between 20 April-30 May 2017.

Variable Message Signs will be in place to alert drivers of the work to upgrade the Old Forbes Road and Heifer Station Lane intersection upgrades.

Transport for NSW, in conjunction with John Holland Rail, will be undertaking level crossing maintenance work at Borenore and Molong later this month.

The surface of the level crossing at Lemmons Road, Borenore will be replaced on the weekend of 22-23 April 2017, while the surface of the level crossing at Packham Drive at Molong will be replaced on 23 April 2017.

Due to the nature of the works, roads will need to be temporarily closed at these sites while the work is being undertaken.

Variable message signs will be in place on Packham Drive from Thursday 13 April 2017  to advise motorists of the temporary closure.

Traffic may also be disrupted on Packham Drive, Garra Road and Banjo Patterson Way on Saturday 22 April 2017 while the NSW Master Cycling Road Race Championships are held in Molong.

Road conditions can change quickly and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and observe warning signs.
