Road Conditions

A section of Escort Way west of Orange could remain closed until at least 9pm following a serious motor vehicle accident earlier today (Thursday 23 March 2017).

Motorists travelling east towards Orange are being diverted along Peabody Road and through Molong, while those travelling west are being directed towards Molong and along Peabody Road to join up with the Escort Way.

Henry Parkes Way has been re-opened to all traffic after being closed due to flooding near Parkes earlier today (Thursday 23 March 2017).

Motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution during severe weather conditions.

Roads and Maritime Services closed Paytens Bridge near Eugowra on Friday (17 March 2017) until further notice due to structural damage.

The bridge borders Forbes and Cabonne Shires.

There is no indication at this time when the bridge will be reopened, but this may be determined next week.

Part of Pinnacle Road near Mount Canobolas will be closed for up to seven weeks to enable road widening and culvert works to be undertaken.

The section of the road on the Pinnacle side of Mt Canobolas Road to Walker Lane will be open to local residents only from Wednesday 15 February and will reopen on 31 March 2017.

Cabonne Council apologies for any inconvenience while these works, which will provide a safer and upgraded surface, are being undertaken.
