Fees and charges
Waste disposal at all of Council's Waste Management Facilities are subject to the fees and charges as set by Council each year.
The levying of charges is a "user pays" approach to waste management that enables Council to provide ongoing supervision of waste facilities, implement best practice waste management techniques and also to appropriately remediate landfill sites at the completion of their life spans.
Please see Fees and Charges for all waste disposal fees.
How can you reduce your charges?
To reduce your costs at Council's waste facilities, Council recommends that you separate all of your recyclable material from your general waste. Residents will not be charged for the disposal of recyclables or scrap steel.
On arrival at the waste facility, the attendant will assess your waste and charge you according to the type and amount of waste. Assessment of all waste is at the attendant’s discretion. You will be issued with a receipt following payment and then directed to an appropriate location to deposit the waste.
Please contact Council's Environmental Services Division on telephone 6392 3200 for further information in relation to waste disposal charges.
