Firebrand Mechanical Services, owned by Kelly, is the only mobile hydraulic hose repair provider in the Lower Cabonne area, offering a rare and much-needed service to the local community.

Kelly started the business after recognising a gap in the market. “I saw an opportunity to support the area with services that weren’t readily available,” Kelly says. “It was about stepping up and being part of the solution.”

Firebrand offers mobile hydraulic hose repairs, mobile air conditioning servicing, and mobile mechanical work, all delivered on-site. This mobility makes the business stand out, especially in a region where access to specialised services can be limited.

Building the business from the ground up came with its challenges. “It took time to build connections and get the word out,” Kelly explains. “And during quieter periods, I’ve had to be resourceful and find ways to keep things moving.”

Despite the hurdles, Kelly finds the work deeply rewarding. “The best part is knowing I’ve made a positive difference in someone’s day, whether it’s getting a machine back in action or helping someone avoid a costly delay.”
