Julie Herbert Millinery
Meet Julie Herbert, the creative force behind Julie Herbert Millinery, where artistry meets craftsmanship. Based in Mullion Creek, Julie handcrafts exquisite headpieces, hats, and headbands for every occasion—from race days to bridal celebrations and everyday wear.
Julie’s journey began at the Warren Picnic Races when she decided to create her own fascinator. That spark led her to study millinery at a convention in Wagga Wagga and later at TAFE in Parkes.
Every piece Julie creates is a labour of love, meticulously hand-sewn and handcrafted—from blocking and wiring to designing intricate trims. Her dedication to the art of millinery makes her work truly one-of-a-kind in the region.
Julie cherishes being part of the local community, from chatting with locals at the Molong Markets to learning about the rich history of millinery in Cabonne.
Fashion trends may change, but Julie’s ability to adapt her designs to the seasons keeps her work timeless and in demand.
Balancing life with two young children, Julie treasures the time she spends being creative and crafting styles she loves.
Julie is working on ready-to-wear headpieces and hats, with plans to introduce summer hats and felt fedoras soon. Stay tuned for more handcrafted elegance!
