Unsupervised Pools Program

Swim 1.png

In 2024, Council introduced the Unsupervised Pools Program to give Cabonne residents more flexible access to local pools outside staffed hours. The program supports health and wellbeing and is similar to those used at other councils.

To access unsupervised sessions, patrons must:

1. Hold a Fitness Passport, season pass or 10‑visit pass - you can purchase a pass via ActiveWorld

2. Complete an induction at any Cabonne pool. This can be done during public opening hours at any of the Cabonne Pools. Returning customers will need to watch a safety video at the start of each season.

  • Be 18+ (children listed on the agreement may attend with the pass holder)
  • Not swim alone—you must bring someone with you (parents can swim with their children if they feel confident).
  • Follow all terms and conditions (non-compliance may result in pass cancellation)

UNSUPERVISED HOURS ACCESS TIMES TO ALL POOLS IS 5.30AM - 8PM DURING SUMMER.

How does it work?

Unsupervised Swimming Access allows inducted members to use the pools without constant staff supervision. Instead of maintaining a costly backyard pool, you can join our Community pool program, where you'll have access to a clean and well-maintained pool at any time of the day.

Here’s how it works:

Village Pools (Cudal, Cumnock, Eugowra, Manildra, Yeoval):

  • Open for 14.5 hours a day (5.30 AM to 8 PM) for inducted members, with a Pool Attendant present for 2-4 hours most days.

Town Pools (Molong, Canowindra):

  • Open for 14.5 hours a day (5.30 AM to 8 PM) for inducted members, with a Pool Attendant present for 4-8 hours most days.

Access Requirements:

  • Pass Purchase: Patrons must obtain a Fitness Passport or purchase either a season pass or a 10-visit pass via the ActiveWorld app.
  • Induction Session: Completion of an induction session, covering safety requirements and procedures, is mandatory. This can be done during public opening hours at any of the Cabonne Pools. An entry pass will be provided upon completion. Induction is required for each pool you wish to attend, as facilities differ from site to site.
  • Age Requirement: Pass holders must be 18 years or older. You can bring your children, as listed on the user agreement, to the pool.
  • You Must Not Swim Alone: For added safety, you must have someone with you when swimming. Parents can swim with their children if they feel confident or invite a partner or friend to accompany them.
  • Compliance: Non-compliance with terms and conditions will result in pass cancellation, restricting access to general opening times only.

This system ensures longer pool access while maintaining safety and encouraging responsible supervision by parents and carers.
