Unsupervised Pools Program

In 2024, Council introduced the Unsupervised Pools Program to give Cabonne residents more flexible access to local pools outside staffed hours. The program supports health and wellbeing and is similar to those used at other councils.

To access unsupervised sessions, patrons must:

1.Membership: Hold a Fitness Passport, season pass or 10‑visit pass - you can purchase a pass via ActiveWorld

2.Complete the Unsupervised Pool Induction form which is available below.

3.Email council@cabonne.nsw.gov.au to organise collection of your FOB. For Fitness Passport holders, send a screenshot of your membership via email to have your membership applied and FOB activated. If you already have a FOB from previous years, this will automatically be reactivated if the membership has been renewed.

4.Collect your FOB: Once you have collected your FOB or had it reactivated, you can attend the pools during access hours daily (listed below). Excluding Swim Club hours, carnivals and events or in circumstances where the pool has been closed due to severe weather or system malfunctions. This information is communicated via the Cabonne Council Facebook page. If you have lost or misplaced your FOB, please contact council.

Rules:

  • Be 18+ (children listed on the agreement may attend with the pass holder)
  • Not swim alone, you must bring someone with you (parents can swim with their children if they feel confident).
  • Follow all terms and conditions (non-compliance may result in pass cancellation)

UNSUPERVISED HOURS ACCESS TIMES TO ALL POOLS IS:

  • OCT - NOV - 5.30AM - 7PM
  • DEC - FEB - 5.30AM - 8PM
  • MARCH - 5.30AM - 7PM

How does it work?

Unsupervised Swimming Access allows inducted members to use the pools without constant staff supervision. Instead of maintaining a costly backyard pool, you can join our Community pool program, where you'll have access to a clean and well-maintained pool at any time of the day.

Here’s how it works:

Village Pools (Cudal, Cumnock, Eugowra, Manildra, Yeoval):

  • Open from 5.30am to 7pm for inducted members, with a Pool Attendant present for 2-4 hours most days.

Town Pools (Molong, Canowindra):

  • Open from 5.30am to 7pm for inducted members, with a Pool Attendant present for 4-8 hours most days.

Access Requirements:

  • Pass Purchase: Patrons must obtain a Fitness Passport or purchase either a season pass or a 10-visit pass via the ActiveWorld app.
  • Induction Session: Complete the Unsupervised Pool Induction form available on this page. Once completed, email council@cabonne.nsw.gov.au to organise collection of your FOB.
  • Returning customers: Please complete the Unsupervised Pool Induction form before your first visit each season. Once you have purchased a pass or have a Fitness Passport, email council@cabonne.nsw.gov.au to have your FOB reactivated.
  • Age Requirement: Pass holders must be 18 years or older. You can bring your children, as listed on the user agreement, to the pool.
  • You Must Not Swim Alone: For added safety, you must have someone with you when swimming. Parents can swim with their children if they feel confident or invite a partner or friend to accompany them.
  • Compliance: Non-compliance with terms and conditions will result in pass cancellation, restricting access to general opening times only.

This system ensures longer pool access while maintaining safety and encouraging responsible supervision by parents and carers.
