Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan

Cabonne Council aims to provide a safe road environment for all road users, current and future, through a co-ordinated approach to transport planning.

The updated PAMP and Bike Plan will help to focus State and Council investment in safe and convenient pedestrian and cycle infrastructure on key routes.

The PAMP will help to plan a footpath network that caters to the needs of all pedestrians including older persons, pedestrians with mobility and vision impairments and school children. The Bike Plan will confirm the bicycle path system for each village, encourage safer cycling through the development of designated bicycle areas and raising community awareness of safe cycling and also investigate cycling links between some of the towns and tourist attractions in Cabonne.

Improving the pedestrian and cycling infrastructure will also help to encourage people to walk or cycle, rather than use their cars, for short trips.
