Molong Water Restrictions

Level 3 Water Restrictions effective from Friday 8th February 2019

Activity	Level 3
Watering of lawns/gardens	In ground systems, fixed sprinklers, Not Permitted. Hand-held hoses, micro-sprays, drip systems, soaker hoses are permitted from 7am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm every second day as per the odds and evens system.
Topping up, filling garden water features	Permitted from 7am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm.
Irrigation of new turf	Permitted for one week after laying after which Level 3 restrictions on watering lawns applies.
Washing down walls of paved surfaces	Not Permitted.
Topping up private swimming pools/spas	Permitted from 7am to 8am and 6pm to 8pm.
Washing cars at home	Permitted on lawn from 7am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm.
Mobile water cartage	Permitted from Council Depot Stand-pipe from 7am to 4pm.

 

Odds and Evens System Explained

This means that if the street number of your property is an even number you can water in accordance with the restrictions on even numbered days. eg 12 Smith St can water on the 2nd, 4th, 6th...30th of each month. If your property has an odd number, you can water in accordance with the restrictions on odd numbered days. eg 11 Smith St can water on the 1st, 3rd, 5th...31th of each month. If your property has no street number then it should be treated as an even numbered property.
