Clearwater tanks at Manildra has been named the Best Business in Cabonne at the 20th annual Daroo Business Awards.

It was a home-town victory for the firm, which received the award at a gala presentation dinner at Manildra on Friday 1 November 2019.

In presenting the winning trophy, Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty said Clearwater Tanks exemplified the innovation, skill and business intuition of many outstanding businesses in Cabonne Shire.

The Best Business in Cabonne was one of three judged awards, with 14 other category winners determined by a popular vote format.

“All three independent judges were unanimous in their selection of Clearwater Tanks from an outstanding field of businesses in contention for the award, including the other finalists Australian National Field Days and YBM Molong,” Cr Beatty said.

Sarah Evans, from Cumnock Pre-school, was named the Employee of the Year while the Apprentice/Trainee of the Year award went to Emma Regan, from Cabonne Council.

Awards chairperson Cr Libby Oldham said the Daroos continued to go from strength-to-strength, with a record number of nominations and votes received this year.

“The Daroos recognise the achievements and contributions of Cabonne businesses and their employees across a range of categories. They aim to raise the profile of Cabonne companies and organisations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their area of service or management,” Cr Oldham said.

“The profile of the awards has grown substantially since their inception in 2000 and they are highly sought by a range of businesses, organisations and individuals throughout Cabonne.”

Cr Oldham praised all those who had worked so hard to make the awards a special night, particularly members of the Manildra community.
