Mount Canobolas access roads closed by snow

Access roads to Mount Canobolas have been closed following overnight snow falls.

Cabonne Council staff will conduct further inspections this afternoon (Monday 9 September 2019) to determine when the roads can be reopened.

The boom gates are closed as a precaution to help ensure motorists are not at risk of an accident or being stranded on the mountain overnight.

Cabonne Council’s priority is the safety of road users. It will endeavour to open the roads should conditions allow it. However, if snow or ice make conditions dangerous, the boom gates on the access roads will remain closed.

Drivers are reminded it is an offence to drive past a road-closed sign.
