Canowindra Balloon Challenge Week
See the magic and spectacle as one of the Southern Hemispheres biggest hot air balloon events take to the sky over the beautiful Canowindra countryside.
Apart from the iconic hot hair balloons taking flight everyday, there's also a jam-packed itinerary for the 9-day festival, including signature events: The Welcome to Canowindra Street Party and the Cabonne Community Balloon Glow.
With live entertainment, night markets, food and wine from the Cabonne Region and beyond, art exhibitions, pop-up choirs, school holiday activities for the kids and everything in between, there's literally something for everyone!
Don't forget to fit in time to wander the streets of Canowindra, explore the eclectic mix of retail stores and historic sites, enjoy a coffee at one of the local cafes or dinner at one of the pubs or clubs.
Take a drive around the town and take in the scenic little town, there's plenty to do and see while you're in Canowindra!

22 - 26 April - Alikinetic Dance - Balloon Week Kids Club - all day (Excluding ANZAC Day)
22, 24 and 26 April - Balloon Week Pop Up Choir at Perennialle Plants from 10.30am - 12pm
21 - 28 April - Canowindra Art Gallery - Display of artworks from Canowindra's local artists at Montrose House from 10.30am - 2.30pm (excluding ANZAC Day)
23 - 24 April - Windowrie Wine Tasting at Canowindra Services Club from 6.30pm

24 April - Landscape Painting Workshop for Kids (12years+) from 10am - 11.30am at Canowindra Connections Centre, 38 Blatchford Street Canowindra
24 April - Canowindra Garden Club Open Garden Fish Fossil Drive- Noojee Lea "Paul Bangay" designed gardens from 12pm - 4pm. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the wonderful gardens. A coffee cart will be available. Entry by donation.
24 April - Be More Like Britto Show - Art Display and Fundraiser - Silent Auction at the Canowindra Services Club from 3pm - 4pm
24 April - Alikinetic Dance - Karaoke and Just Dance Tournament from 4pm for the kids
