The Box Woodland conservation tender opens to expressions of interest from 2 September with eligible landholders invited to set a price to protect and manage important native vegetation on their land.
The tender focuses on conserving remnant patches of four threatened ecological communities (TECs), namely Fuzzy Box Woodland, White Box-Yellow Box-Blakely's Grassy Woodland, Grey Box Grassy Woodland and Poplar Box Grassy Woodland.
Several information and drop-in sessions will offer information from the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust on:
- eligibility for the conservation tender.
- the tender timeline.
- the steps and support to set an agreed conservation plan.
- the bidding process for annual payments to manage a proposed conservation site.
The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust invites landholders of the Parkes, Narromine, Gilgandra, Warrumbungle, Dubbo Regional, Mid-Western Regional and Cabonne local government areas to learn more about earning annual payments to manage native vegetation.
