Request to Lease Road - Davimac Lane Molong

Council has received a request for lease of a partial section of Davimac Lane. The request has been made by H & E Oldham whom are property owners of 46 Molong Street, 60A Phillips Street and 85A Edward Street. The lease is proposed for five years, with a five year extension.

 

It is noted in the application that the laneway is infrequently used, and is overgrown. Closing and maintaining the laneway will allow for easier and safer movements between properties, and keep the area free from potential adverse impacts on the neighbourhood.

 

In considering the request, Council must identify if there is any conflicting community interest in the subject laneway. This could be a neighbour interested in leasing the laneway themselves, or community interest to see the laneway developed.
