Sale of Land for Overdue Rates
Notice is hereby given to the owners of the properties listed in the attachment that Cabonne Council has resolved on 28 May 2019, in accordance of Section 713 of the Local Government Act 1993, to sell the land described hereunder and on which the amounts of rates stated in each case as at 31 May 2019 is due. In default of payment to the Council of the amount stated above, and any other rates (including extra charges) becoming due and payable after 31 May 2019, before the time fixed for the sale, the said land will be offered for sale by public auction to be held at 11.00 am on the 25th October 2019 at the Cabonne Council's Chambers located at 99 - 101 Bank Street Molong NSW 2866. The five properties under the ownership of Pine Forests of Australia Pty Ltd have now been withdrawn from the auction.
Please be aware that mapping sites and google maps, etc do not have up to date aerial images and in particular the property at 4 Charlotte Street, Canowindra is showing a house that was demolished in 2011.
As with any land purchase you need to do your own research as to costs involved with connecting to water, sewer and power. Also whether building permission is available, subject to Development Application approval.
There is no cooling off period after the auction, the successful bidder will be the purchaser at the fall of the hammer.
Any property sold for $10,000 or less will be required to be paid in full on the day of the auction.
A further property, owned by EE Griffiths (Lot 3, Section 2, DP 758984), has been withdrawn from auction.
