School visits to highlight Local Government Week

Cabonne Councillors and senior staff will visit three primary schools next week as part of a shire tour to mark Local Government Week 2018.
Pupils will be given the opportunity to ask questions of Councillors when they attend Yeoval Central School and Manildra and Cumnock Public Schools next Tuesday (31 July 2018).
Council representatives will also inspect recently completed projects and those that are under way at Manildra, Cumnock and Yeoval, as well as visiting sites of proposed works in the three villages.
Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty said the Council had developed a tradition in recent years of visiting schools during Local Government Week to help young people in the Shire better understand how the Council worked.
Local Government Week in NSW runs from July 30-5 August to highlight the importance of councils to the whole community.
