Council crews will be undertaking vegetation works along Cargo Road from 7 August 2023.
The works are expected to take around 6 weeks in two stages, ultimately improving the safety and visibility for road users.
- Stage 1 - Vegetation works will start at the Orange boundary and will end at Boree Lane
- Stage 2 - Vegetation works will start at Boree Lane and will end Greenings Lane

The works involve removing trees and shrubs that are in the clearance zones and assess and remove any trees that are in the road corridor and deemed hazardous. Following this, Council will then carry out drainage works in the same locations to aid with water runoff.
Works are also planned for Coffee Hill in spring, which may take an additional 6 weeks to complete.
