If you are passionate about your local community, becoming a councillor is an opportunity to make a difference, and to represent the interests and vision of other residents in your area.

With Local Government Elections coming up in early September 2021, now is the time for interested residents to put their hat in the ring and to learn what it takes to be a councillor in Cabonne.

To assist Cabonne residents in deciding whether they would like to stand for election on Council, and to help understand the election process, Council is running a candidate information session in early June.

The session will enable those interested in becoming a councillor to gain a better understanding of the role and responsibilities as an elected member of council.

The workshop will cover the benefits and importance of Local Government, the importance of diverse representation on Council, and an introduction to Local Government jargon and what it means.

The session will be held at:

Cabonne Council Chambers (101 Bank Street, Molong)

Wednesday, 9 June 2021

5:30pm - 8pm

For those wanting to register to attend the session, please contact the Cabonne Council General Manager’s Executive Assistant on 6392 3208, or via email council@cabonne.nsw.gov.au
