During October the NSW Police Force will be targeting dangerous and illegal motorist behaviour at level crossings around Molong and Manildra.

Between July 2008 and June 2019 there were 72 collisions between trains and road vehicles at level crossings.

Sadly, those collisions resulted in eight fatalities. During this period more than 100 near misses were reported each year at level crossings throughout the state.

Motorists are advised to take great care at level crossings, as a single moment of distraction or recklessness, could cost lives.
