Cabonne councillors and senior staff will speak to pupils and students from five schools next Tuesday (30 July 2019) as part of a shire tour to mark Local Government Week 2019.

Student leaders from Canowindra High School, Canowindra Public School and St Edwards Primary School will have lunch with councillors at Canowindra before the council representatives travel to St Joseph’s Primary School at Eugowra where they will speak with pupils from that school and Eugowra Public School.

Councillors will also inspect recently completed projects and those that are under way at Cudal, Cargo, Canowindra and Eugowra, as well as visiting other sites in the four villages.

Cabonne Council has developed a tradition in recent years of visiting schools during Local Government Week to help young people in the Shire better understand how the Council worked.

Local Government Week in NSW runs from July 29 to August 4 to highlight the importance of councils to the whole community.
