Businesses and non-profits in NSW’s Central West can tap into a free program to help them boost business resilience and recover quickly after a disaster. Business Beyond Disasters is a free online learning opportunity being offered by the NSW Reconstruction Authority. It starts on Monday 5 May 2025 and runs over 10 weeks, helping participants plan effectively, build important skills to keep businesses running during tough times, and prepare for the future. These strategies will help businesses adapt to future challenges. The program features weekly 5-minute online learning modules designed to enable businesses to think and do differently, with weekly online check-ins to connect and share insights with other participants, plus links to key support resources and services. Participants have a choice to join one of five specific business programs that best align to their specific area of business including:
Originally designed for flood-impacted businesses in the Northern Rivers, the content is relevant to businesses everywhere, especially those in the Central West who have also been affected by flooding. By joining the Northern Rivers program delivery, Central West businesses will be able to tap into powerful resilience concepts free of charge. The NSW Reconstruction Authority has engaged Resilient Ready, specialists in business and community risk reduction and resilience, to deliver the Business Beyond Disasters program.
